A prior vehicle collision may have contributed to the injuries Pax Jolie-Pitt sustained in an August 2024 e-bike crash.
Several weeks before the e-bike crash, the 20-year-old son of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie crashed his Tesla into a truck parked outside of RED Studios Hollywood. Pax was reportedly not injured in the crash and officers released him with a warning.
Officers determined that the young man was not under the influence at the time. Pax exchanged information with an exec at RED Studios and was picked up by an unidentified person shortly after. Less than three months later, the voice actor had to be rushed to the hospital after sustaining a head injury from crashing his electric bike into a car.
“He suffered complex trauma, and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy,” one of his doctors stated.
A low-speed wreck, like the prior fender-bender in the PJP case, could cause a serious injury. Whiplash, a head-neck injury, is probably the best example.
This injury affects nerves in the cervical spine. This part of the central nervous system is extremely sensitive. Any severe jostling motion, such as the motion of a low-speed crash, knocks vital nerves out of place.
Whiplash begins innocently, with symptoms like neck soreness and mild disorientation. Whiplash is also a soft-tissue injury that X-Ray and other diagnostic machines don’t detect. Therefore, many doctors release low-speed crash victims without treating whiplash.
Without prompt and proper treatment, whiplash could eventually cause paralysis. Usually, this paralysis is permanent. So, if you or a loved one was involved in a low-speed crash, always ask an Experienced Personal Injury Attorney to evaluate your case and, if necessary, refer you to an experienced car crash doctor.
Frequently, pre-existing medical conditions, like injuries sustained in a prior collision, contribute to the risk and/or severity of injury in a future crash. Maximum compensation is available in these matters, if Accident Attorneys Los Angeles prove the new crash substantially caused the victim’s injuries.
The underlying principle is that the strong (a rich insurance company) should never take advantage of the weak (a physically or otherwise vulnerable victim). If anything, these vulnerable victims deserve additional legal protection.
What’s the difference between a contributing and substantial cause? Many factors contributed to the start of World War II. But Hitler’s aggression substantially caused it. Historians painstakingly distinguish between contributing and substantial causes. Doctors do the same thing, which is why additional medical evidence is usually necessary in these situations.
Compensation in a car crash or other personal injury case usually includes money for economic losses, such as medical bills, and noneconomic losses, such as pain and suffering.
Injury victims are entitled to substantial compensation. For a Free Consultation with a Personal Injury Attorney Los Angeles, contact the Law Offices of Eslamboly Hakim. We routinely handle matters throughout the Golden State.
